Nevada County Votes Most
Why do we want to vote the most?
Because it's easy and it matters. And because we have a strong community that, while socioeconomically and politically diverse, is unified in our common place and common pride.
We Nevada Countians have come close to leading California in voting twice in the 2000s. 2016 will be a pivotal, direction-changing election at the national, state, and (perhaps most importantly) local level. We think we can achieve the highest voter turnout of any county in California by registering 1,500 new voters and helping them make sure they get to the polls on June 7th.
With this goal (and some amount of competitive pride) in sight and mind, the League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County is recruiting leaders of every stripe and ambition to make sure that Nevada County Votes Most in 2016.
There are two ways you can help us reach this goal: 1. Pledge here, register, and vote. 2. Get a friend (or two) to do the same.
- May 23 is the last day to register to vote in the June 7th primary. You can do it online here.
- You can check your registration status and declared party with the County Clerk-Recorder.
